Pimm to the Rescue

We don't know about you, but we feel that Mondays are, more often than not, a lost cause. It doesn't matter how much we prepare or how enthusiastic we are about jump-starting the week; from the time the alarm goes off to about two o'clock in the afternoon, we are absolutely worthless. Over the months, we've discovered a cure for those bad cases of the Mondays and it involves coming up with things to look forward to for the rest of the week. Petting the foreheads of horses and goats at the local farm. Posting new articles about incredible destinations. Brainstorming ideas for holiday cards. Finding recipes for festive drinks to serve on weekends. The last one in particular has been particularly motivational.

Today's cure is called a Pimm's Cup, a refreshing concoction created by the geniuses at Agate Alley Bistro in Eugene, Oregon. Pimm's Cups, accompanied by Cajun style tater-tots, have saved numerous Mondays and the occasional Thursday and should be added to the list of things to try before you die.

Here's the deal. We know the ingredients that go into this magical drink, but we don't know the quantities of each. So, your adventure (should you choose to accept it) is to experiment with these ingredients and discover which mixture is most delicious. By the time Friday rolls around, your recipe will be perfect and your friends will be wowed. When this is the case, be sure to send us your recipe and we'll post it on our blog. We'll be taking on the challenge as well and will be sure to post our final recipe next week.

Happy mixing!
