Future Adventures in Ireland
For Immersion, March is looking to be a very exciting month. Not only is the deadline for our first trial issue fast approaching, but we are planning on rolling out a new website that will be more comprehensive and easy for users to interact with. Our free trial issue, which is scheduled to be available at the end of April in the Apple Store, will feature outstanding destinations from San Francisco, Oakland and the Half Moon Bay area. Our memories of the Bay Area will last a lifetime, from falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves just outside the window to playing with baby goats and sampling award winning cheese to walking the alleyways of Chinatown and drinking tea with a newfound favorite uncle. We hope our experiences will inspire you to plan your own adventure.
Stay tuned for our free trial issue coming out in April and please let us know what you think. We can only improve with your help. With more articles rolling in, upcoming deadlines, and more issues to plan for, time for putting posts together for our blog has been regretfully minimal. We apologize for this and are working hard to remedy the situation.
With that in mind, we spent a few minutes doing a bit of research on one of our favorite springtime islands, Ireland. To our delight, we found a wonderful website that features lodges, activities, tours, and transportation venues that are environmentally sensitive and conscious of local cultures. Introducing… Discover Ireland, a comprehensive website highlighting Irish holiday events, tours, accommodations, and basically all things Irish. The website is managed by Fáilte Ireland, a branch of Ireland’s government dedicated to promoting local tourism.
According to their website, they “provide strategic and practical support to develop and sustain Ireland as a high-quality and competitive tourist destination.” We haven’t had the opportunity to travel to Ireland just yet, but that won’t be the case for long. After spending several hours browsing the places and activities listed on Discover Ireland, we couldn’t wait to start exploring the country. We hope you feel the same way. From learning about traditional Irish culture at local art festivals, to getting your hands dirty in the kitchen, to hiking along windy sea cliffs and tiptoeing through ancient stone castles, to attending an epic St. Patty’s Day parade in Dublin, there is something for everyone in Ireland and what’s more exciting is that it all looks sustainable.
